These words and expressions are very common in international news. Learning this topical vocabulary can help you understand what is happening in the world and reach a more advanced level of English.
WAR & CONFLICT (General Terms)
War
A long period of fighting between countries or groups.
Examples:

- The war has caused major damage.

Conflict
A serious disagreement or fight. It may or may not become a war.
Examples:

Armed conflict
