⭐ Adjectives Ending in –ED and –ING
In English, many adjectives come from verbs.
These adjectives often end in –ED or –ING.
Even though they look similar, they have different meanings and are used in different situations.
The rule is simple:

Adjectives ending in –ED describe how someone feels.
Examples:

Adjectives ending in –ING describe the thing that causes the feeling.
The cause can be a thing, an event, a situation, or sometimes a person.
Examples:
- The movie is boring. (It causes boredom.)

Think of it this way:
👉 ING = Cause
If something makes you feel a certain way, we usually use –ING.
⭐ The rule in one sentence:
A person is –ED.
A thing or event is –ING.
⚠️ Be careful! Sometimes a person can be the cause.
Example:
- She is boring. = She makes people feel bored.
- She is bored. = She feels bored.
These two sentences look similar, but the meanings are very different.
