Hometown

Part 1 (4-5 minutes)
Directions: Answer naturally and directly. Aim for 2-3 sentences per answer.

  • Topic: Your Home/Accommodation
    • Where do you live now?
    • What kind of accommodation do you live in?
    • What is your favorite room in your home?
  • Topic: Your Hometown
    • What is your hometown famous for?
    • Is your hometown a good place for young people to live?
    • How has your hometown changed in recent years?
  • Topic: Parks & Nature
    • Do you often go to parks?
    • What do you like to do when you visit a park?
    • Are there many natural places near your hometown?

    Part 2 (3-4 minutes)
    Directions: You have 1 minute to prepare and should speak for 1-2 minutes.
    👉 Describe an interesting part of your hometown.
    You should say:

    • What this place is
    • Where it is located
    • What people do there
      and explain why you think it is interesting.

    Part 3 (4-5 minutes)
    Directions: Discuss the broader themes. Give extended answers (4-6 sentences).

    • Why do some people choose to move from their hometowns?
    • What are the advantages of living in a big city compared to a small town?
    • How can governments improve life in rural areas?
    • Why is it important for people to preserve historical buildings in their hometowns?
    • Do you think the sense of community is stronger in small towns than in cities?
