Part 1 (4-5 minutes)

  • Topic: Holidays
    • What did you do on your last holiday?
    • Do you prefer active holidays or relaxing ones?
    • How are holidays today different from holidays in the past?
  • Topic: Transportation
    • How do you usually get around your city?
    • What is your least favorite form of transport?
    • How do you think transportation will change in the future?

Part 2 (3-4 minutes)
Directions: You have 1 minute to prepare and should speak for 1-2 minutes.
👉 Describe a memorable holiday you have had.
You should say:

  • Where you went
  • Who you went with
  • What you did during this holiday
    and explain why it was so memorable for you.

Part 3 (4-5 minutes)
Directions: Discuss the broader themes. Give extended answers (4-6 sentences).

  • Why do you think some people are reluctant to travel abroad?
  • In what ways can traveling to a new country change a person’s perspective?
  • What are the economic impacts of tourism on a country?
  • Do you think mass tourism will continue to grow in the future?
  • Some people argue that we should travel less to protect the environment. To what extent do you agree?
