12 Real English Expressions

1. It’s not half bad

Meaning: It’s actually pretty good (better than expected).
Example:

  • A: “How’s the new pizza place?”

2. I’m just kidding

Meaning: I’m joking or not being serious.
Example:

  • A: “You forgot my birthday?!”

Meaning: Try harder or improve your performance.
